All those men who’ve been complaining and angry at the Barbie movie, not fully having the capacity to understand the message that the patriachy negatively affects and impacts us all.

*Movie Spoiler Alert*

Orginal Barbie literally says “Maybe, It’s Barbie, and IT’S Ken”, pointing out that they’re equal yet seperate entities.

She supports him to go find himself away from the Patriachy self he was exposed to and that he adopted in ‘the real world’ thinking that that was the mould men had to be like (and in contrast to Barbieland), and that he also shouldn’t go back to being the submissive former Ken at the beginning in Barbieland, shaping himself to her plans and what he thinks she wants.

Like this babe literally finds herself and says I’m sorry, I did you wrong, I see you and you can (safely) also go discover yourself because you are just as worthy.

So which men want to listen, learn and give space for the like if it was reversed like she did?

Some people need to do some ego work.

We’re not appreciating the Weird Barbie enough. It’s said in the movie that she helps everyone who need help while they always see her as someone who’s not as good as them. She was friends with all dismissed Barbies and Kens, was there to offer support and safe shelter for everyone who needed it in Kendom, without her nothing in the movie would’ve been alright. When Stereotypical Barbie calls her “ugly and unwanted” she still helps her.

She was representing a woman in women’s world who was pushed aside by other women because she didn’t fit in but still had more wiseness and kindness than everyone who thought they’re better than her.
